This service agreement does not apply for any required length of time. You may cancel your service free of charge at any time before 12:00 p.m. the business day before a scheduled service.
During the term of this agreement and for a period of two (2) years after its termination, clients will not, either directly or indirectly, hire or solicit to hire any technician assigned by Service Owls.
Our scheduling options are: one-time, weekly, bi-weekly, and every four weeks. Rates for recurring service are based on bi-weekly service with a 10% discount applied for weekly service and a 20% increase for every 4 weeks. Rates are reviewed one time per year or when there is a change to the job or property.
To get the service you want, when you want it, please:
- Request new service at least one week in advance.
- Request changes to an existing appointment at least two business days prior.
If you wish to cancel or reschedule a booking, please do so by 12:00 p.m. of the previous business day to avoid a $69.00 Cancellation Fee. If Service Owls does not receive cancellation notice prior to the technicians’ arrival or in the event that the service technicians cannot access your home or business due to no fault of their own, a $129.00 Lock-Out Fee will be issued. We must adhere strictly to this policy in order to prevent lost wages.
Bookings expire after a lapse of 6 weeks between service. Resuming service after a 6 week lapse may result in changes to your rate or our availability.
Customers are responsible for informing Service Owls prior to any construction or renovations on their property. During this period of time, rooms unable to be cleaned will not not be deducted from the rate. Post-Renovation rates may apply to the Initial Cleaning after renovation projects on a per-case basis and at the discretion of Service Owls.
Security and Access
Due to unforeseen circumstances and the unpredictable nature of field services, estimated arrival times are subject to change at any time. Lock-out fees are avoided by providing us with a key or the code to an electronic lock or lock-box. Keys and/or codes provided will be secured when not in use. We do not recommend leaving doors unlocked or hiding a key on site and we will not be held liable for any third-party damages or theft to a client’s home or property as a result. If Service Owls is unable to access your home or business upon arrival, due to no fault of their own, Service Owls reserves the right to bill wait time at our current hourly rate.
Service Owls requires a credit or debit card to be held on file in order to reserve an appointment. Your card will automatically be charged upon completion of each service. In the event a credit card payment is denied, a twelve percent (12%) finance charge will be added and will accrue monthly. Accounts with open balances are suspended until payment is received in full.
Preparation for Cleaning Service
We do not have requirements for getting your home ready for a cleaning. After all, we are here to lessen your workload. Still, tidying up first does allow us to focus less on arranging and more on detailed cleaning.
For everybody’s safety and to prevent potential accidents, please:
- Secure all delicate valuables.
- Inform our office of any pest infestations or exposure to contagious illnesses.
- Secure all firearms.
Your cleaning technicians are performing physical labor that can dramatically increase their body temperatures. In order to keep them safe and ensure labor efficiency please maintain the indoor temperature between 50-70 degrees Fahrenheit during the cleaning services.
If a minor is present in the home during services, an adult guardian must be present.
Even the best pets can be protective by nature and may behave in a threatening manner when technicians arrive, particularly when the owner is not home. Please crate all pets known to exhibit any aggressive behavior or attempt to escape.
Part of our commitment to nurturing a safe and healthful workplace is staying clear of potential health risks associated with pests. Feces, such as rodent or roach droppings, as well as other animal remains are bio-hazardous. Service Owls does not currently partner with any bio-hazard remediation or restoration services.
Health and Safety Limitations
To protect all parties, we will not commit to plant care, pet care, child care, moving or lifting items over 50 pounds, or climbing higher than a standard step stool. Due to health and safety concerns, technicians are unequipped to clean blood, excrement, or hazardous chemicals. Every effort is made for the cleaning technicians to work safely, but we cannot assume liability for the safety of others while cleaning your home or business. If for any reason a Service Owls technician feels that their personal safety is in danger, we reserve the right to vacate the premises and the client will be held liable for the full cost of the service. In the event that technicians are not able to work without distractions that affect their ability to progress at the normal pace, Service Owls reserves the right to charge for any extra time spent in the client’s home in order to complete the service.
We reserve the right to photograph written correspondence to log in the client’s file. Any publicly published images will not reveal the identity of the property or the client without formal written permission from the client.
Assignment and Survival
This Agreement is binding upon the Client and the Contractor and their respective successors and assigns.
This Agreement will be governed by and construed in accordance with the internal laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania without giving effect to the choice of law or conflict of laws principles thereof. All actions, claims or legal proceedings in any way pertaining to this contract or such transactions shall be commenced and maintained in the courts of such state or in a federal court of the United States physically situated in such state and in no other court or tribunal whatsoever and the parties hereto each agree to submit themselves to the jurisdiction of such court.
